Popular Sister Wives star Kody Brown has always been a dedicated advocate of polygamy and used to be a part of the Mormon church. For decades, viewers have watched the Browns sharing a firm belief and following their faith with utmost dedication. However, the past few years have been a game changer. Kody is now in a monogamous marriage, while Christine, Janelle, and Meri have parted ways with him. After everything, fans have started to wonder if the Brown family has renounced their Mormon faith. Well, Mykelti and Tony recently made some shocking revelations and confirmed their family’s current religious status.

Sister Wives: Did Kody & His Ex-Wives Leave Mormon Culture?

TLC’s hit show Sister Wives documents the lives of the Brown family, which was a pure advocate of the polygamous lifestyle. They were followers of the Mormon fundamentalist group known as Apostolic United Brethren (AUB). Kody and his family used to believe that plural marriage is not just a lifestyle that they follow. It is a crucial step towards the highest glory of heaven. But over the years, it seems that slowly, the Browns have started to lose their faith. In the recent past, Christine was the first one who renounced the religion. She parted ways with Kody and didn’t even bother to get an annulment from her church.

Now, it seems that Kody and his former wives have also left their church. Recently, Mykelti and her husband Tony talked about the same. The star kid made it clear that her father and her “moms” are no longer a part of their religion now. She further added that they are “not active” in the church and have not been involved in their religion as well. Hence, it seems that Mykelti made it clear her family is not a part of the Mormon faith. This even hinted at the fact that perhaps now the Browns don’t even believe in polygamy.

Sister Wives: Will Kody Brown Bring In A New Wife?

As per the current scenario, Sister Wives star Kody Brown is in a monogamous relationship with his fourth wife, Robyn. He was born and raised in a polygamous family and always wanted to lead one. Evidently, the star practiced the plural marriage lifestyle for years and emerged as a proud polygamist until three of his wives left him consecutively. This made the viewers wonder if Kody would want to continue his dream and is now searching for potential wives.

However, it seems that Kody has now decided to be in a monogamous marriage. Recently, Tony revealed he is “100% sure” that bringing in new wives is a “no” for his father-in-law. Hence, he “super doubts” this idea and doesn’t think Kody would even consider doing this. On the other hand, Mykelti explained how her father is no longer an active member of the church. This further means that perhaps after losing faith, Kody might not want to follow his former “religious way” to attain the highest glory of heaven.
