The actress stars as Monica Dutton in the hit Western drama which Paramount confirmed would be concluding with its fifth season.

Yellowstone star Kelsey Asbille is confirmed to lead the upcoming horror film Don’t Move.

She’ll feature opposite American Horror Story regular Finn Wittrock in the movie produced by The Evil Dead maestro Sam Raimi.

Asbille will star as a grief-stricken woman who’s attacked by a serial killer.

A synopsis reveals: “The serial killer injects her with a paralysing agent leaving her with a limited time before her body shuts down – meaning that she has to fight back to stay alive.”

Adam Schindler and Brian Netto are set to direct in a collaboration with Alex Lebovici’s Hammerstone Studios, who were behind last year’s hit horror Barbarian, and Christian Mercuri’s Capstone Studios.

Asbille, who could be starring as Monica Dutton for the final time later this year, posted the news via the Hollywood Reporter on her latest Instagram Story.

Fans are currently waiting for the second half of Yellowstone’s fifth season, which the Paramount Network has confirmed will be the last following the departure of A-list lead Kevin Costner.

Thankfully, Asbille has wasted no time in securing her next major projects and aims to start filming Don’t Move in Europe next month.

“We are beyond thrilled to make this absolute white-knuckle ride of a film with talents such as Kelsey and Finn,” directors Schindler and Netto said in a statement.

“On top of that, we get to team with the teams at Raimi, Capstone and Hammerstone – companies operating at the top of the genre game. We could not be more excited to get to work.”

“The fiercely talented Kelsey and Finn have taken starring turns in some of the most beloved suspense-driven projects currently in the market, making the perfect pair to bring this visceral, pulse-racing story to life,” producer Lebovici added.

In the latest season of Yellowstone, Asbille’s character Monica has been struggling to recover from the loss of her baby following a devastating car crash.

Thankfully, she’s been able to rely on her husband Kayce (Luke Grimes) and father-in-law John Dutton (Costner) for support.

However, the Dutton Ranch faces its toughest chapter yet when the final handful of episodes airs this year, with a projected release date of November.

Meanwhile, the franchise is still expected to continue, with a second season of 1923, a new spin-off set in 1944 and another rumoured offshoot starring Matthew McConaughey still in the pipeline.

Yellowstone is available to stream on Paramount+ in the UK and Peacock in the USA.
