Yellowstone spoilers reveal that Taylor Sheridan is once again getting some hate. He has been trying his best to close out Yellowstone, but fans have grown upset with how he and Kevin Costner left things. Of course, Costner and Sheridan have two side of their story and fans still want more of the show. However, it is coming to a close. Sheridan does have a brand new show on Paramount+ called Special Ops: Lioness. This show has been getting some terrible reviews from critics and this has put Sheridan in a tough spot.

Yellowstone Spoilers – The Reviews Are In

One television critic, Alison Herman took to social media to throw extreme hate at this new show. She called it, “an unabashed work of military propaganda that positions the United States Armed Forces as the ‘strong’ who ‘protect the weak”

When the show was released, Paramount+ promoted it as “being inspired by an actual US Military program”. This show follows the main character, Joe, played by Zoe Saldana, as she goes through life and work as the “tip of the CIA’s spear in the war on terror.”

This show has some serious stars attached to it though. Nicole Kidman and Morgan Freeman back up Saldana in this all-star cast.

It follows female firefighters who have been trying to seek out female terrorists after 9/11. Saldana’s role is to go undercover to try to get the trust of these women to stop them from the inside.

Yellowstone Spoilers – The Harsh Words Continue

Not only did Herman give the show some harsh words, but they added that the roles of the women on this show seemed to have been written for men.

Another viewer chimed in, “Lioness is a confusing, dull and unappealing take on the war on terror, which has a lot more in common with soaps like Grey’s Anatomy or This Is Us than espionage fare like Amazon’e Jack Ryan or The Terminal List.

It fundamentally misunderstands what people like about war stories; we’re not here for torture porn and misanthropy. We’re here for inspiration, for determination and grit, and triumph for the American dream over enemies.”

Of course, Sheridan’s die hard fans will continue to follow his show, but from the reviews of this one, he may not see multiple seasons with Lioness.

We will continue to keep an eye on it and who knows, it could get better as it progresses, but the critics have a lot of doubts about it. You can check it out on Paramount+ to see if you get the same impression.
