Lainey Wilson may be one of the biggest names in music at the moment, but she’s not forgetting the journey it took to get to where she is today.
Amid winning numerous trophies at the CMA Awards in early November, the Yellowstone star surprised fans when she uploaded a sentimental video montage of photos to her Instagram. As the images shifted from her performing as a teenager to celebrating some of her career highlights, she used the moment to share an inspirational message about not giving up on your dreams.
“Head down and blinders on,” she emotionally wrote on November 21. “Don’t let anyone ever tell you that you can’t 🤘🏻.”

Given how many of the photos Lainey used were ones fans never saw before, it didn’t take long for them to comment on how much they loved seeing her evolution online. What’s more, they couldn’t help but resonate with the caption she wrote as well.
“In a puddle of tears,” one person wrote. “Welp this motivated me to run through a brick wall planning,” another declared. “Girl you did it!! Thank you for never giving up,” a different follower exclaimed.
As folks may know, Lainey got her start in country music back in 2011, when she moved to Nashville to pursue a singing and songwriting career. It was her 2016 album Tougher
When speaking to Parade in May about how her career has skyrocketed, she couldn’t help but feel grateful for all she’s achieved. “I have loved country music my entire life,” said at the time. “I mean I eat, sleep, and breathe it. I’m from a town of 200 people in northeast Louisiana, where it’s truly just a way of life. So, it has taken a really long time, but I finally do feel like country music is starting to love me back. It feels great to feel included and recognized. It’s something I don’t think I’ll ever get used to.”
