Yellowstone Posted a Cryptic Kayce and Jamie Clip in Advance of Season 5
Months removed from the Season Four finale of Yellowstone, fans are starting to get antsy about the upcoming season—what happens next. Slated to debut later this year, the Kevin Costner-led series will return with a massive order of 14 episodes. If you haven’t noticed, Yellowstone‘s Instagram page keeps posting clips new and old, knowing exactly what it is doing: teasing the hell out of us. Fans are especially buggy over the recent Instagram of an old moment between Kayce and Jamie, which you can view below. Remember this conversation? “He wants you, Jamie,” Kayce says in the clip. “Only people you can trust is family.” It certainly seems like the Duttons may very well give the family outcast another shot.
We’ll find out for sure once the fifth season kicks off. The series (which amassed a staggering 15 million viewers for its most recent finale) will follow John, Beth, Rip, Jamie, and Kayce as they navigate a contentious gubernatorial election, a growing threat from outsiders, and one hell of a blackmail situation between two Dutton siblings. All of this follows news of Paramount’s continued expansion of the Taylor Sheridan universe; 1883, the Yellowstone prequel enjoyed a hefty amount of eyeballs during its first (and only) season and two other shows from the creator remain in production. The franchise also recently announced 1932, a sequel to the 1883 prequel (yes, it’s… confusing)
Just know that if you’re invested in Yellowstone, there’s plenty to binge after you finish the core series.Watch the foreboding clip making its way around socials, and then read on for everything we know about Season Five of Yellowstone.

Will There Be a Yellowstone Season Five?
Yes! (But you knew there would be, right?) Paramount Network has officially renewed the series for Season Five pretty much immediately. In an unearthed happy hour interview with HALL Wines from last March, Cole Hauser (who fans will recognize as Rip) jumps into the questions with more than a couple teasers about then still-pending Season Five, including when it will be filmed, and potentially what fans of Yellowstone can come to expect plot-wise.
Interviewer Kathryn Walt Hall asked Hauser about getting back to Montana, to which Hauser responded, “Taylor is working on it right now, and I think we’ll be back some time in July.” Confirming that he was talking about Season Five and not Four, Hauser continued, saying, “Season Five is going to be wonderful. The way we ended Season Four—I can’t give too much away, but the way Season Four ends, I think the audience… will be happily surprised.” Now that we know the details, that shotgun wedding sure seems like the nice treat he was teasing.
When Will Yellowstone Return?
Let’s cut to the chase: Sunday, November 13, Yellowstone is back! It’s later in the year than fans are used to but, in exciting news, the show is extending its typical 10-episode order to 14, and those episodes are set to be split into two chapters.
The split season is intended to give the 1883-treatment to Sheridan’s upcoming series, The Tulsa King. Season Four helped launch 1883, so the first half of Season Five will help to introduce the Sylvester Stallone-led drama. Then the second half will reportedly help launch the 1932 installment.
Who is Going to Be In Yellowstone Season Five?
In asking about Season Five, Hauser opened up, saying, “For us as actors, and I think I can speak for everybody… we come together. This is now going into our fifth year.” Specifically, he name drops Kevin Costner, Kelly Reilly, Luke Grimes, Wes Bentley, and Gil Birmingham. Thanks to Deadline, we now know who will join Yellowstone‘s core ensemble. John Lucas will return as Young John Dutton, alongside Kylie Rogers, who will reprise her turn as Young Beth Dutton. For good measure, Kyle Red Silverstein will return to the action as Young Rip Wheeler.
For anyone who was worried about the fates of Teeter (Jen Landon) and Emily (Kathryn Kelly), they can rest easy knowing that both actresses have been bumped up to series regulars for the upcoming slate of episodes. Mo Brings Plenty and Wendy Moniz also received the series regular boost for their parts as Mo and Governor Lynelle Perry, respectively.
Apparently, we’ll even see some new faces around the ranch, too. Actors Kai Caster, Lilli Kay, and Dawn Olivieri will all join Yellowstone in new roles. Deadline describes Olivieri’s character as “a confident, corporate shark and a new arrival to Montana.” Sounds like a perfect sparring partner for Beth. Country artist Lainey Wilson will also join the series in a new role, the artist has also confirmed the good news. “I did want to share some news with y’all,” Wilson said at Montana’s Under the Big Sky Festival. “I am going to be in the next season of Yellowstone, and I’m excited. I’m going to be a musician on the show named Abby and I get to share my music with a lot of the world who watches the show.”
While there weren’t any major cliffhangers at the end of Season Four, there are some major dynamic shifts within the Dutton family—namely that Jamie has become a murderer and Beth has the information that could ruin him. But as we know with the Duttons, nothing stays comfortable forever. Just ask Piper Perabo.
