‘1923’ Star Julia Schlaepfer Brings the Roaring Twenties to the 2024 Golden Globes Red Carpet
The actress donned a backless white satin dress at this year's Globes.
Julia Schlaepfer served vintage elegance at the 2024 Golden Globe Awards red carpet. The “1923” star graced the event in a stunning white satin gown with a draped cowl neck and dramatic, asymmetrical button detailing.
Schlaepfer attended the 81st Annual Golden Globe Awards in support of her Paramount+ series, “1923,” a prequel to Taylor Sheridan’s mega-hit “Yellowstone.” The show stars Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren as ancestral Duttons during the Prohibition era. It received nominations for Best Drama Series and Best Actress for Mirren.
Bringing that 1920s aesthetic to this year’s Globes, Schlaepfer donned a vintage-style white gown. The cutout back and dramatic central slit gave the look a modern twist, while a string of diagonal faux pearl buttons added a classic touch. The actress accessorized with an eye-popping pair of round diamond drop earrings, a collection of diamond rings and sparkling open-toe heels.
Schlaepfer let the monochromatic look take center stage, sweeping her blonde locks up into a tight twist to show off the fantastic draped neckline. She added a bit of drama with a berry-colored smokey eye and deep mauve lip.
The series follows the ancestral Duttons who protected the Yellowstone ranch from powerful business magnates and rival ranchers in the 1920s. Schlaepfer plays Alexandra, the fiancé of Brandon Sklenar’s character, Spencer Dutton, in the series.
There’s no telling when we’ll see Schlaepfer’s Alexandra on our screens again. In the meantime, the above look is about as much ’20s glamor as we could handle.
