  • Kevin Costner was spotted shopping with a brunette woman suspected to be his assistant.
  • Fans thought the actor was not a gentleman for letting the woman carry more boxes than him.
  • But one of Costner’s co-stars raved about how kind the actor was.

Kevin Costner is a renowned actor in Hollywood, but the “Yellowstone” actor was recently caught in a bit of controversy because of recent pictures that were taken while he was out shopping.

Constner was spotted on a shopping spree with a brunette woman who is suspected to be his assistant. The actor looked chic with a gray v-neck sweater, white denim pants, and gray sneakers.

The unknown woman he was with was in a black top with matching pants and brown leather shoes. Constner was seen shopping for many women’s gifts, and reports speculated that he might be getting gifts for his ex-wife Cindy Silva who had her birthday on Sunday.

The actor was photographed holding a white shirt carrier while the woman that accompanied him held on to two big brown wrapped boxes decorated with a satin ivory string.

However, fans were not too pleased to see Constner carrying less than his suspected assistant. Commenters flooded the comment section with their opinions. One commenter did not believe the woman was an assistant, but even if she was, the person said it was “weird” that Constner would let another woman carry more than him.

Even though it is unclear if the woman was an assistant from the shop or the actor’s personal assistant, fans still thought Constner was not much of a gentleman. They believed that “The Bodyguard” star should have at least carried another box.

“Not much of a gentleman,” remarked a netizen, while another said, “No real man has a woman carry his “stuff.” One other commenter said regardless of his fame and money, he should still be a gentleman to other women.

While some commenters agreed that Constner should have helped the woman carrying the boxes for him, others believed it was her job as an assistant. “As an assistant, that’s her job,” expressed a commenter.

Although the photos have left fans with a few negative impressions, one person who got work with Constner on the “Yellowstone” set said the actor taught him how to be a gentleman. Cole Hauser, who also stars in “Yellowstone,” only had good things to say about the “Waterworld” star, saying before he was an actor and a creative, he was a “kind” human being.

Over the past five years that the actors have worked together, Hauser said he has learned a lot about being a gentleman. He also loves that Constner was a family man, just like he was. “And he’s just someone to look up to, in my opinion,” he expressed.

Creatively, Hauser also had the utmost respect for him, saying he always found ways to “push the envelope” with his desire for storytelling.
