General Hospital spoilers: The week of May 1st brings Victor closer to victory, but will Liesl get in the way?
General Hospital spoilers for the week of May 1st reveal the focus is on Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy). His insane mission to “save” the world looks to be winding down. We’ll see the rescue team come closer to getting the hostages. Plus, Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) will likely do her best to stop this in her own way. Here’s what you need to know.
General Hospital spoilers: Making history
First, General Hospital spoilers reveal Victor is a special case. He thinks he’s some great savior with a just cause. In reality, he’s just a delusional man with a God complex. Even as his own nephew is pointing out the horrific consequences to his plan, and the fact he has no right to make such a call for countless strangers, Victor still thinks he’s a hero in this story. And given he tells Liesl, “Let’s go make history,” we assume he’s got this crazy idea that the world will thank him for this. Right.
Liesl certainly doesn’t look convinced in that clip. We know she has no choice right now but to play along, but we’re wondering what scheme she has in mind to stop this whole thing. We can’t imagine Liesl not having a plan in mind, especially after having been held captive for a little bit now. So, should be fun to see what ideas she has to sabotage this thing without risking her safety or the safety of her fellow hostages.
General Hospital spoilers: To the rescue
Elsewhere, we saw Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner), Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison), Laura Collins (Genie Francis), and Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) arrive in Greenland recently. Now, the group will do their best to find the hostages and get out before Victor puts this plan into motion. We’ll see Curtis being particularly motivated, as he’ll mention keeping a promise. Gotta feel for the poor guy. He just learns Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) might be his daughter, and she’s now in the hands of a madman.

Finally, General Hospital spoilers reveal we’ll be back in Port Charles to see how the rest of the people planning to take down Victor are doing. We wonder if there’s a backup plan in motion. In the promo, Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) tells Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) and Holly Sutton (Emma Samms), “This is the most dangerous mission.” He could be referring to those about to storm Victor’s hideout, but we wouldn’t be surprised if he and the rest were working on something as well. No one’s, as of now, been able to warn the group just how high the stakes are.
