General Hospital Spoilers: Sonny Breaks Up with Nina Over SEC Tipoff – Done with Lies & Carly Grudge?

General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) could be the one facing consequences despite her growing desire to bring down Carly Spencer (Laura Wright). Will Nina ultimately lose Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) over the horrible decisions she’s made?

Nina feels like Carly always seems to skate by without paying the price for her mistakes, so that’s driven her to do something about it.

The perfect opportunity landed in Nina’s lap since she knows Carly and Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) engaged in insider trading.

Although Nina has given Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight) strict orders to make sure this is done anonymously, she’s sure to face exposure anyway.

There’s just no chance Nina will get away with tipping off the SEC and lying to Sonny about it.

Ava Jerome (Maura West) warns Nina in the April 27 episode that it’ll be the end of Nina and Sonny if the truth comes out.

Will Ava eventually be proven right about the terrible news that’s brewing?

Some fans are certainly rooting for Sonny and Nina, but others feel like this romance has gone on long enough.

In fact, some viewers might think it was a mistake for Nina and Sonny to ever become a real item outside of Nixon Falls.

This could be the GH writing team’s strategy for ending Sonny and Nina if they need a good way to make it happen.

Sonny could indeed dump Nina for plotting to send Donna Corinthos’ (Scarlett Spears) mother to jail!

The fact that Nina lied to Sonny may also be a problem.

At some point, Sonny may decide he can’t tolerate the deception and this constant Carly grudge that isn’t going away.

Of course, Carly has done some despicable things and has made mistakes of her own. However, the difference is Sonny isn’t a couple with Carly right now.

Nina is the one that Sonny expects loyalty and honesty from, so he’ll feel betrayed once this insider trading drama explodes.

Although it’s possible Nina will be able to salvage this relationship, it’s equally possible it’ll all fall apart.
