David Glasser, CEO of 101 Studios, also said: “The Dutton story continues, picking up where Yellowstone leaves off in another epic tale. We are thrilled to bring this new journey to audiences around the world.”

The cast and crew have reportedly been left in the dark in terms of when Season 5 Part 2 will commence production. Even Wes Bentley told Gold Derby: “I can’t tell you anything because I don’t know myself, and to be honest even if I did know anything, I don’t know if I would say. However, a glimmer of hope was offered at Deadline’s Contenders Television panel on April 16, 2023, where director and executive producer Stephen Kay revealed there’s a light at the end of the tunnel.

“Taylor [Sheridan] is in Texas spinning hay into gold and we’re hoping we’re hoping we’ll do it soon,” he said. “Everybody’s excited.”
