It’s still hard to believe that Yellowstone will be coming to an end after the second half of season five, especially when it was initially believed that the show would go on for at least seven seasons.

Of course, it all initially stemmed from the rumors that Kevin Costner was exiting the show due to conflicts in film scheduling, and although we aren’t sure if those are the exact reasons, we do know that Costner is no longer a part of the show.

And on top of that, it’s looking like we won’t be getting the premiere for the second half of season five until 2024 due to the ongoing writers strike.

So, there’s been a ton of time to speculate on how the show will conclude, and even some of the actors have given some hints about what we can possibly expect…

And that even includes Kelly Reilly, who plays Beth Dutton on the show.

According to Insider, Reilly said in a featurette that’s on the Blu-Ray and DVD release of Yellowstone season five part one:

“Beth is haunted by her past. She has a lot of regrets and she has a lot of secrets that he doesn’t know.

So there is something that is under the surface that will one day, I’m sure, come, and she’s probably certain that she will lose him.”

She noted that a lot of Beth’s past that Rip doesn’t know about will come to light in the show’s conclusion:

“In this season, you see that she is waking up in the night, constantly having bad dreams, constantly thinking about how she treated him, how she was with him, some of the decisions she made.”

Reilly also discussed the weight and guilt she feels for not being able to have children, after Jamie sent her to an abortion clinic that made her infertile when she was a teenager, saying she feels a “tremendous sadness” because of that.

She also said that Rip not knowing this information could put a serious stain on their relationship:

“He doesn’t know any of that, and she’s protecting him. So there’s a weighted burden in her heart that she cannot share with him. He’s trying to reassure her and love her, but he doesn’t know the truth.”

So, does this mean this could be the end of Rip and Beth’s relationship by the show’s ending?

I guess we’ll find out.
